  • sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install octave
On Fedor / En Fedora 
  • sudo yum install octave-forge

 Open terminal / Abrir terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T)

other mode is graphic typing / otra forma es modo grafico (octave --force-gui).
